Specialist Psychodynamic Counsellor for Children and Young People
Christina is an experienced child and adolescent counsellor with several years experience of working with young people and young adults.
She works with young people and young adults who struggle with emotional and psychological problems and difficulties including bereavement, anger management, trauma, abuse, anxiety, loss, parental break-up and friendship/relationship issues as well as with any issues affecting a young person’s potential to live a happy and fulfilling life.
Christina has worked in education for 22 years in several schools across Essex and mentors children and young people who are having difficulties accessing their education due to emotional distress. She has worked across secondary and primary schools as a counsellor but more recently she has set up her own practice where she works with children, teenagers and young adults.
She has studied psychoanalysis and uses this in her everyday work when supporting young people. She is warm and empathic and understands the difficulties young people experience whilst trying to find their identity. She offers a safe space for them to explore their difficult feelings and make sense of their experiences - she offers both short term and long term therapy.
Christina holds a Masters degree (MA) in Psychodynamic Counselling and a BA (hons) degree in Therapeutic Communication. She is also a registered member of the BACP.
