CBT Psychotherapist, EMDR Specialist and Clinical Supervisor
Louise is a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural and EMDR Psychotherapist. She has worked as a mental health nurse for many years prior to undertaking her CBT training where she worked with people with a range of emotional and psychological problems.
Since qualifying in EMDR, Louise now also works with individuals attempting to overcome a wide range of trauma and traumatic experiences and those diagnosed with PTSD.
Louise has over 18 years’ experience working within the NHS in the capacity of a Mental Health Nurse and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. She has worked with a variety of clinical groups and in a range of clinical settings, such as the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies service delivering CBT to clients with depression and anxiety disorders. She has successfully worked with conditions such as depression, generalised anxiety, OCD, post-traumatic stress and health anxiety.
Louise is particularly interested in adults experiencing anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, health anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and mood disorders and holds a busy private practice at the Turner Centre.
Louise holds a post graduate diploma in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and specialist qualification in EMDR as well as her Mental Health Nurse degree.
