What information do we collect about you?

When you send us an email via our website we will have your name and email address and the content of the email. If you phone us looking for a therapist, we will ask for your name and telephone number as well as your availability. Having this information enables us to find a suitable therapist who can see you on the day and time which is convenient to you and enables them to make contact with you to offer therapy. If you are contacting us for information only, then no personal information about you will be taken or passed anywhere else unless you request to speak to a therapist. We would then require your name and phone number to pass to the therapist in order to contact you. By providing us with this information, is giving us consent to use it for the purposes outlined only.

How will we use the information about you?

If you have emailed us via the Turner Centre Website your email will go through the Webhealer process before reaching us. This allows your email to reach us. Webhealer is GDPR compliant keeping your email address and the content of your email confidential within their secure data system. You can visit them at www.webhealer.net for more information.

We will use the email address you have provided us with to communicate with you only about the issue you have contacted us about. If you ask us to arrange an appointment with a therapist and accept the appointment we offer, we will pass your name and email address and sometimes forward the email (depending on the content) to the therapist who is offering the appointment. This is so they have the necessary information about you enabling them to contact you. You will always be given the name of the therapist whom your email and details have been passed to. This enables the therapist to contact you directly and gives you the name of the therapist who has been passed your information. If you would prefer to have a telephone call and do not wish your email details to be passed to the therapist, you should let us know in the email and we will only pass your telephone number. Each party (both the Turner Centre administration and the therapist) agree to keep communication to the minimum required in order to protect your privacy.

The relationship between the Turner Centre and our therapists

It is important that we are absolutely clear about the nature of our relationships with our therapists. Therapists and psychologists working at the Turner Centre are independent practitioners and compliant with GDPR. They are vetted and interviewed by the Turner Centre prior to being allowed to work. This means that although they work at the Turner Centre premises, they hold and keep their own notes and data, which is separate to the Turner Centre data systems. They have their own privacy policies which we would advise you to be aware of and request to see and discuss.

Marketing

The information we have about you is not used for any marketing activities. The information is used only for the purpose for which it was given. If you are a therapist enquiring about our workshops and seminars or looking to join the Turner Centre and wish us to contact you with information at a later date, we will ensure your contact details are stored securely and will not be used for any other purpose than that to which they were given.
