Psychodynamic Psychotherapist

Donna is a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist who has recently joined the team at the Turner Centre, having qualified in psychodyanmic counselling in 2021. She has now qualified as a psychodynamic psychotherapist (July 2023).

She has gained invaluable experience working with adults who have depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, or have suffered childhood trauma, adult trauma, domestic violence and abuse. She will be non-judgemental and accept you unconditionally. Her aim is to empower individuals to find their own resilience and direction in life. The skills needed to live a contented life lie within everyone, and Donna will support each individual in locating them. Her role is to provide a confidential and safe space for each individual to discover their true self, not to offer a ‘cure’.

Throughout this process individuals will learn about themselves and develop healthy coping strategies to deal with adversities in their lives. Donna believes that will make each individual a stronger and more resilient person. She understands that taking the first step, making the call to enquire can be scary and will endeavour to ensure she is the right person for each inidvidual who makes contact, and go at a pace that suits each person. She can work within both a time limited and open-ended capacity, and this is something She and the individual will assess together.

Donna holds a Professional Diploma in Psychodyanmic Counselling, a Foundation Diploma in Counselling Skills and a Certificate in Counselling Skills. She qualified with the WPF in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in July 2023. She is accredited with the UKCP and the BPC and a member of the BACP.
