CBT Psychotherapist

Marta is an experienced cognitive behavioural therapist who is accredited by the BABCP. She has over ten years of experience working with mental health difficulties and emotional distress. Marta studied clinical psychology and registered as a practitioner in Italy before moving to the UK to work in NHS mental health services, where she offers interventions to people from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds who present with a wide range of problems. 

Alongside CBT Marta is knowledgeable in a number of therapeutic models including third-wave CBT, narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy and person-centred therapy allowing her to tailor her approach to different needs. 

Marta is adept at providing support to individuals who feel stressed, low, lost or burnt out, or who struggle with self-worth, trust issues, or challenges in connecting with others. She has extensive experience working with trauma survivors and people struggling with body image; her compassionate and open approach aims to establish a safe space where you can collaborate and work on a plan for change. This includes developing coping strategies and techniques to help you effectively manage stress, anxiety, depression and overwhelming emotions.

Marta holds a (honour) B.Sc. in Psychology, with a focus on science and techniques, and a (honour) Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She has also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Practice and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. 

Additionally, she has received training in Narrative Exposure Therapy, treatment for complex post-traumatic stress disorder and Metallisation Treatment.
