Clinical Psychologist and CBT Psychotherapist

Marta is an experienced cognitive behavioural therapist, accredited by both the HCPC and BABCP, with over a decade of experience helping people navigate mental health difficulties and emotional distress. After qualifying and registering as a practitioner in Italy, she moved to the UK, where she has spent years working across a variety of NHS mental health services. 

She is knowledgeable in several therapeutic models—including CBT, EMDR, narrative therapy, and psychodynamic therapy—allowing her to tailor her approach to meet each individual’s unique needs. She has extensive experience supporting trauma survivors and individuals navigating challenges with self-esteem, body image, and trust, or those facing difficulties connecting with others. 

Marta’s compassionate and open nature helps establish a safe, collaborative environment where you can work together on a plan for change. She focuses on helping you understand the impact of past events on current difficulties, with the specific aim of developing practical coping strategies to effectively manage stress, anxiety, depression, and overwhelming emotions. 

Her professional background is rooted in strong academic foundations, including first-class honours degrees in Psychology and Clinical Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT, and specialised training in EMDR, Narrative Exposure Therapy, and Mentalisation-Based Treatment.
