No matter how complex a situation is, you will not face judgment from Shaun. He has worked successfully with individuals who have suffered and experienced severe trauma including; sexual and domestic abuse, childhood neglect, relationship issues, loss and bereavement, divorce, drug and alcohol misuse, compulsive behaviours, family issues, ADHD, bullying, violence, guilt, anxieties, self-harm, anger, depression, low self-esteem, identity issues, PTSD and more.
On a personal level Shaun exudes a candidly open, honest, and warm demeanour. He engages with his clients not only as a professional counsellor but also as a true person to build trust and form genuine working relationships. This way he demonstrates his dedication to helping others discover their truths so that they may grow forward and find themselves carrying a much lighter load in life. Shaun is inclusive by nature and welcomes individuals from the LBGTQ+ community and is KINK allied.
Shaun values the uniqueness of each person in relation to their life story and engages in therapy sensitively and with respect to personal tolerances. His unassuming approach has worked well when engaging with individuals from within the autistic spectrum.
Whilst Shaun’s humanistic approach is grounded in person-centred theory and practice, he is able offer insights and work creatively from other theoretical and developmental perspectives if needed.
